Mr. Prabhu’s engineering academics career began at VJTI, Mumbai, after which he went on to study at the Imperial College, London. Upon graduation, he joined the London-based structural design firm - C J Pell and Partners in 1960 and was quickly made a Partner at the young age of 32. In 1975, he was made the Chief Executive and the firm has since been renamed The Pell Frischmann Group. Along with his partner, Dr. Frischmann, Mr. Prabhu, has been responsible for diversifying the firm to a multi-sector company with a global presence. Mr. Prabhu established the firm’s presence in India, in 1995, with the registering of Frischmann Prabhu (India) Pvt. Ltd.

Mr. Prabhu has helped create landmark structures in London and around the world. Notable examples include Centre Point and Nat West Bank Headquarters (then the tallest in Europe) in the City of London. Further examples include a multitude of acclaimed developments over existing railway stations including the historic Victoria station.

His remarkable achievements in the field of design and engineering are reflected by the innumerable awards he has won including the highly acclaimed Jewel Award for lifetime achievement for British Asians, as well as the Udyog Ratan Award by the Institute of Economic Studies of India.
